What is a Defense Lawyer?

A defense lawyer is the one, who deals with legal matters in favor of accused party, in court of law. The defendant is the accused party, and since he defends for them he is so called as defense layer. A defense lawyer starts their career as a state prosecutor. He acts as an agent for the victims and initially he won’t represent directly.

If any of the party has been charged against a crime and if they don’t have any defense lawyer in favor to deal for them, then the state itself select and nominate them to deal the case in court. Since there are some well known defense lawyers in the state, the defendant has the right to say his choice of hiring the lawyer in the court and the concerned attorney must take charge of him.

The main duty of the defense attorney in criminal proceedings is to defend vigorously for his or her client until the proceedings of the case cast. The defense won’t prove their client as an innocent one. Instead they make arguments and shows his client is innocent by default and until they are proven to be guilty. The duty of the defense lawyer is to bring out the hidden evidences and prove the jury that his defendant is guilty. The defense lawyer should not lie to the court knowingly neither makes his accused party to lie nor bring falls witness to court to prove his client an innocent fellow. So one should use make use of the defense lawyer for the judicial purpose and it is difficult for defense layer to deal with civil proceedings.
